I proudly present my first ever home made web tool. It is a reflection tool for people who think and feel most easily while writing. I use it a lot myself to reflect on any situation where I get angry or where I get negatively triggered in another way. Reflecting on my negative emotions gives me clarity about what I feel and usually leads me to a "better feeling place" than the one I started out from.
The use of Reflexion is pretty straightforward:
- you name your issue
- you choose the emotion that matches most closely what you feel around it
- you follow the prompts and input your responses, skipping any that don't seem applicable
- At the end you can review your answers on screen, or print them or save them on your device
The result, with me at least, is that I am able to reflect around whatever is bothering me. The reflection usually leads to clearer insights into my triggers and the part that I choose to play.
Becoming aware of this brings me a level of acceptance of serenity that I find otherwise hard to come by.
I think it is a tool most useful for people who like to write and who think or feel while writing. I hope it will find its way to wherever it is needed.
I don't collect any data on the users. Any responses are kept strictly local and are deleted when the user completes the process. I think that is a must, so people can feel safe and truth is served in this way...
That said, it would be lovely for users to give me Feedback on the usefulness for them. Perhaps this can lead to other tools, and perhaps in this way more people can get to a better feeling place about a number of things...
The incorrigible idealist that I am, I want the tools to be accessible to the greatest possible number of people. Not everyone has the means to pay for what is available out there, whereas we all have subconscious sh**, um stuff, to process.
I believe in a world where we can all have freedom, abundance and harmony. How about we build it together?
